About MeHello, my name is Alejandro Talavera, a fourth-year Chemistry major. I come from a Mexican household in Madera CA and as such I carry my family's legacy proudly. Rather than stay close to home, I decided to venture out into the unknown so that I may learn new things and meet new people which is why I am excited to meet you all this coming year. In terms of hobbies, I like photography (taking photos on long walks and hikes, admiring the scenery) as well as playing video games, and cooking (always wanting to learn new recipes!). To close out, I want to say that I am honored to have been given this position and will do my best to support the SMSJ community. If I had to leave on some advice, it would be to not be too hard on yourself. Everyone has their own journey and everyone makes mistakes, but as long as you pick yourself up, you will be okay.
"You’re going to be all right. You just stumbled over a stone in the road. It means nothing. Your goal lies far beyond this. Doesn’t it? I’m sure you’ll overcome this. You’ll walk again… soon." |
