About MeHey everyone! My name is Noah Ropp, and I’m so pleased to be the resident assistant of San Joaquin’s Ramona Court this 2023-2024 school year! I was born and raised in Southern California and call Santa Clarita my hometown (you know when you pass Six Flags Magic Mountain driving on the 5, all my LA folks? Yeah, that’s me), but I’ve also had the privilege to have lived in Tokyo when I was younger and to have studied abroad in London for part of this past school year. I’m proudly half Filipino — where’s my Pinoy gang at? I’m also an avid fan of the national park system throughout the US, which my residents will be seeing throughout the year in my decorations and newsletter theming! As far as on campus, I’m a fourth year history major here at UCSB, focusing primarily on history from 1870 onwards, with an eye to potentially pursue a graduate degree in public policy or affairs and enter civil service later on. You can also catch me in the Arbor tabling for our school’s model United Nations team or walking backwards or manning the front desk at the visitor’s center as a campus tour guide! I love to talk about both, so if you’re interested please feel free to hit me up. I want to make Ramona Court and the Sierra Madre - San Joaquin community as welcome a home as possible this school year, and I’m looking forward to interacting with everyone throughout these months we have as neighbors! I hope to catch up with y’all at events whenever possible, and in the meantime, if you happen to walk by my apartment and hear me singing to myself? No you don’t. |
